Community Programs
We are happy to support many initiatives in our community.
We provide a Community Booth to give Non- Profit organizations, with a registered charity number, of the Fraser Valley an opportunity to raise awareness, distribute information or sell raffle tickets. No solicitation is permitted.
All organizations must submit an application to be considered.
All requests must be received at least four weeks in advance of your requested dates to be considered, and are on a first-come basis, please see application form for complete details.
A representative from Sevenoaks Shopping Centre will follow up with your request.

We proudly contribute to a number of associations, events and scholarships.
Due to the rising number of requests, Sevenoaks Shopping Centre has implemented a standardized process.
Each properly completed submission is evaluated against Sevenoaks Shopping Centre’s criteria, total funds available and its overall compatibility to our objectives. Thank you for considering Sevenoaks Shopping Centre as a potential supporter.
CRITERIA:
Preference is given to organizations that:
- Make a significant contribution to the well-being and vitality of the communities serving: Fraser Valley (including Abbotsford, Mission, Chilliwack, Aldergrove and Hope).
- Are registered charitable organizations demonstrating community support and involvement.
- Organizations that directly support schools and education.
To be considered, please send a letter, on official letterhead, describing your organization and event to Sevenoaks Shopping Centre. All requests must be received at least 4 weeks in advance of your event to be considered. Organizations receiving support will be notified and asked to pick-up the donation from Sevenoaks Shopping Centre.
Sevenoaks Shopping Centre appreciates post-event assessment from organizations that receive donations.

Throughout the year Sevenoaks supports various community initiatives. Here are some of the great partnerships we have developed.
Sevenoaks Shopping Centre has a bulletin board available for community related use located at our Community Booth (next to Hudson’s Bay). Please read the usage criteria and guidelines below for more information.
All postings will be made at the discretion of Sevenoaks Shopping Centre management. Posting of materials does not imply Sevenoaks Shopping Centre’s endorsement of any organization, group, or view.
Due to the limited amount of available space, only materials that meets the following criteria will be considered for display:
Community bulletin board may be used for the following types of information:
- Free community event information (health, recreational, educational, cultural).
- Programs conducted by local registered charitable organizations.
- Events run by and to raise funds for local registered charitable organizations.
- Community alerts (at the discretion of Sevenoaks Shopping Centre management).
Community bulletin board may not be used for the following types of information:
- Materials of political, racial, religious or socially offensive content.
- Materials that contravene the BC Human Rights Code, the Criminal Code of Canada, federal or provincial laws and regulations, municipal by-laws and/or Sevenoaks Shopping Centre policies.
- Commercial materials such as: solicitations, business cards, job postings or business advertisings.
- Materials advertising classes/instruction offered by individuals or groups for profit (i.e. music teachers, dance teachers, tutors, art classes etc.).
- Personal notices of items for sale or services offered.
- Personal solicitations for fundraisers.
- Petitions, surveys and pledge forms.
- Contests, unless part of a registered charitable organization’s event, program or fundraiser.
General Posting Guidelines:
- All content must be submitted in person to Sevenoaks Shopping Centre management for approval (electronic submissions will not be accepted and shopping centre management will not print postings). The Administration Office is located upstairs in Suite 201. Office hours are Mon to Fri, 9am to 5pm (closed weekends and Statutory Holidays).
- Materials will be date stamped and posted weekly. As such, postings should be dropped off with, at minimum, one (1) week notice.
- Materials may remain posted for a maximum of 30 days. Event postings may be displayed for up to 30 days prior to the event and will be removed after the event date has passed.
- All postings must pertain to events/programs/notices serving the Fraser Valley communities of Abbotsford, Mission, Chilliwack, Aldergrove and Hope.
- Preferred posting size: 8.5 x 11 inches (Max. size allowed: 11 x 17 inches).
- Materials of any one event, program, fundraiser, etc. will be limited to one (1) posting bi-annually.
- Postings must provide contact information for the organizer (i.e. phone number, e-mail address, and/or web address).
Due to limited display space, Sevenoaks Shopping Centre reserves the right to restrict the size, number, and location of materials. Some approved items may not be posted due to space restrictions. Priority in posting will be given to Abbotsford based events/programs/notices, and then will extend to neighboring Fraser Valley Communities (Mission, Chilliwack, Aldergrove and Hope).
All materials left with Sevenoaks Shopping Centre management become the property of Sevenoaks Shopping Centre and will be disposed of as deemed fit. Sevenoaks Shopping Centre management will not return materials or notify a group if their material is not acceptable for any reason, including a lack of space.
